**Do you have a passion for metallurgy?** We are seeking a skilled **Metallurgy Failure Analysis Engineer** to investigate material failures, determine root causes, and support product reliability improvements. This 6‑month contract role requires hands‑on experience with metallurgical testing and strong analytical and reporting skills.

**In this role you will:**

+ Perform **root cause analysis** on failed metal components using SEM, EDS, optical microscopy, and mechanical testing.
+ Conduct **destructive and non-destructive tests** (tensile, hardness, NDT) to validate failure mechanisms.
+ Interpret test data, microstructures, and fractography to identify failure modes.
+ Prepare clear, detailed **technical reports** and present findings to engineering and quality teams.
