Medical Science Liaison – Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role supports the strategic scientific direction of Boehringer Ingelheim by providing clinical and scientific information/data to health professionals through scientific exchanges and presentations. These exchanges enable health professionals to make sound clinical decisions in patient treatment and allow the MSL to gain a deeper understanding of current treatment and management of patients locally.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Identify and interact with External Experts (EEs) through credible and accurate medical/scientific exchanges of information, and appropriately document scientific exchanges
• Identify new EEs and validate existing EEs for inclusion in the EE Management Plan, and build advocacy through scientific engagement
• Convey expert clinical knowledge and engage stakeholders through face‑to‑face meetings, scientific events, and advisory activities
