POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mechanical Reliability Engineer position supports the refinery’s Maintenance Department by identifying and developing equipment-related improvements. These improvements include root cause failure analysis and optimization of maintenance programs for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.) and fixed equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, etc.) The role also involves budgeting for planned equipment replacements, troubleshooting existing issues, implementing new solutions, and creating reliability programs focused on longer run times and safer operations.
