Position Overview
Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop truck trailers and trailer components using 3D CAD software.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation.
- Perform structural and mechanical design calculations.
- Support production teams during manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Conduct design reviews, fault finding, and engineering improvements.
- Ensure compliance with South African road transport regulations and industry standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, production teams, and project managers.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation.
Minimum Requirements: - BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 35 years experience in truck trailer or heavy vehicle design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD software.
