Job Description
The Maintenance Material Planner reports to the Manager of Inventory and is responsible for the cost-effective, efficient procurement, and shipping of aircraft spares to meet the requirements of the Aircraft Maintenance Organizations in order minimize unscheduled ground time due to materials.
Procures and ensures delivery of material to meet aircraft requirements. Ensures that all materials procured meet Mesa Air Group and FAA standards for quality. Coordinates MEL requirements with Maintenance control, Tech desk, and Maintenance Managers to ensure parts are available for overnight maintenance. Seeks out and evaluates new sources of supply vendors to achieve cost reduction goals without jeopardizing quality or delivery.
