Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Maintain buildings and equipment for the district. Work involves repairing electrical equipment, identifying, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctions in all areas of electrical equipment and systems. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with the public, school officials, supervisors, and co-workers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Clear and valid Texas driver’s license

Valid Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required

Special Knowledge / Skills

Organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position

Ability to maintain simple logs and records, as well as to generate reports

Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring

Knowledge of current electrical codes and ordinances
