Maintenance Assistant
Location: Port Elizabeth
Contract Position
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of machinery, tools, equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal production uptime and safety compliance. Although this position may be based at the main production plant, the incumbent must be prepared to perform maintenance functions at the other plants as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine and/or tool maintenance and repairs:
- Perform routine inspections on production equipment
- Perform basic routine preventative maintenance functions
- Assist with general maintenance and repair of machinery and tools
- Assist with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
- Tooling maintenance, including cleaning, storage, and minor repairs.
