Job Summary
Moog Reading is currently recruiting for a Machinist to join the team. Within this role, you will set up and operate machines as directed by the Machine Shop Manager in order to ensure the work allocated to the machine shop is completed to the required quality, accuracy, cost, and timescale.
Key Responsibilities
Setting up machines for the jobs allocated. Perform the machining required to the required specifications. Make required calculations when performing layout and machining of angles, radii, location of milled slots, tapers, bores, etc. Check work visually and with a variety of precision measuring devices including a comparator. Assist in the inspection of goods inwards materials and final dimensional checks as per stamp register OPM F 041 Remove and replace dull/broken tooling Sharpen cutting tools as necessary Perform necessary benchwork
