Calender Operator II – Reading, PA
Hours are 10:30pm – 7:00am Sunday Evening through Friday Morning.
Operates Calender and Extrusion machines to efficiently heat, mix, extrude and press plastic into a calendered film of various thicknesses. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Operates calendar and extrusion equipment and is responsible for setting all heat processing parameters, including all width and gauge changes for the plastic film produced. Maintains machinery and operates at highest efficiency while inspecting product for quality defects, gauge control, product specification, and overall functions of the line.
