Heart of Florida Landfill, a Waste Connections site in Lake Panasoffkee, FL (Sumter County) has an immediate position open for a Maintenance Fuel Operator to performpreventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines. Individuals with 1+ years experience working on heavy diesel trucks or those that have completed a Diesel Technology program are encouraged to apply.

Monday through Friday 40 to 50 hours a week and some Saturday work.

Pay $21+ DOE

Responsibilities include:

Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

Performs maintenance related work as required.

Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. 

Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
