Healthcare Science Support Worker Higher Level – Aberdeen laboratory

The post of a full-time (36 hours per week) Band 3 Healthcare Science Support Worker Higher Level is available in the Aberdeen Genetics and Molecular Pathology Laboratory, a UKAS accredited member laboratory of the Scottish Genomics Network, funded by the National Services Division.

Responsibilities include:

• Handling, receipt and dispatch of a range of patient samples.
• Data entry into laboratory databases.
• Dealing with telephone queries from users and providing general administrative support.
• Performing basic laboratory duties.
• Maintaining interaction with technologists and scientists within the department.

Shift pattern: Monday–Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
