Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsDemonstrates the ability to function in one or more areas of the clinical including: Blood bank, Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Virology, Computer. Acts as a LIS help desk resource. Takes corrective actions in as many aspects as possible. Monitor integrated systems for abnormal conditions and performs appropriate corrective measures. Operates master console by responding accurately to console messages, documents all problems, and keeps management informed of problems that have a serious consequence to the system. Oversees or mounts correct tape volumes and ensures correct tapes volumes are sent offsite. Reviews backups and operates tape drives, printers and other equipment.
