Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Job Number: Job Summary: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides essential nursing care and support to patients enrolled in a Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP). Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician, the LVN is responsible for conducting patient observations, administering medications, and assisting in the monitoring and assessment of individuals experiencing substance use withdrawal. The LVN plays a key role in promoting patient safety, treatment compliance, and recovery-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) and CIWA (Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol) assessments under supervision, and report findings to the RN or medical provider.
