Licensed Practical Nurse

The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical/License Vocational Nurse PACT (LPN/LVN) is to perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, positive customer service and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Serves as a member of the healthcare team by participating in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care using a focused assessment
• Functions as preceptor when appropriate
• Administers medications via all routes, excluding intravenous
• Educates patients and/or family for understanding of orders as documented in EHR

Performs assigned nursing care responsibilities, under limited to moderate supervision, including use of certain equipment, technology, and/or knowledge in procedures performed in clinics including but not limited to:
