Summary This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Richmond VA Medical Center (VAMC), in Environmental Management Service, Textile Care Section. Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES include but limited to: Laundry Operator Duties 100%: Laundry Machine Operator in the Textile Care Section (TCS) charged with the operation of a variety of laundry production equipment including the tunnel washer/extractor, large dryers (5001b), large washers (600Lb), small washers and dryers, garment finisher and textile finishing equipment. Sorts soiled linens, pre-soaks stained textiles as needed, accurately weighs wash loads to ensure washer/extractors are correctly balanced, wash soiled and unload clean textiles.
