**Lab Client Service Representative – Lorain Hospital**

**This is a PRN As Needed Position - Weekday & Weekend Availability Needed**

**Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position**

The Lab Client Services supports overall laboratory operations by performing the duties of receptionist, patient and/or specimen collection and registration to include: test ordering, billing, verifying medical necessity, and preparation for mailing of laboratory test results.

**Essential Job Functions**

+ Answers and initiates phone calls
+ Supports Physician office needs
+ Investigates patient and client billing issues
+ Processes specimen and add-ons
+ Registers patients
+ Generates reports
+ Maintains inventory levels and stocks supplies
+ May perform specimen collection.
