Position Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: YMCA Camp Elphinstone, 1760 YMCA Road Gibsons, BC V0N 1V6

Term: Temporary, Full-Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Shift: 5 days per week, varied shift hours 

Start Date: April 7th, 2026

End Date: October 2026

Salary: $18.50 - $20.04 per hour

Reports To: Head of Food Services and 1st Cooks

Nature & Scope

Kitchen Assistants are responsible for washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of the dish room, hobart, and dining hall. Supporting cleanliness of prep hall, food storage areas and kitchen equipment. Assisting with general food preparation, meal set up/ take down, and service support for multiple high volume meals
