Ward 85 is advertising a 34.5 hour per week band 6 post. Ward 85 specialises in providing care for children and young people with Cardiac, CF, Respiratory, Metabolic, Immunology, Endocrine, Rheumatology and tertiary paediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Support and guide junior staff in the care process
• Provide direct patient care and maintain detailed clinical knowledge of the specialist area
• Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring high standards of quality of care within Ward 85
• Act as a positive role model for staff, patients and carers
• Deputise for the senior sister as required
• Enable nurses to acquire clinical and professional competencies through education and staff development opportunities
