Position Overview
Become a Sous Chef at Balkan in beautiful Banff and bring Mediterranean flavors to life. Focus on quality food and enhance guest experiences in a vibrant kitchen.
In this role, you will support the Chef de Cuisine by leading a team dedicated to crafting exceptional Mediterranean dishes. Your responsibility will include managing kitchen workflow, overseeing food prep, and maintaining inventory efficiently. A key part of your success will be fostering a positive atmosphere while training and mentoring kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support delivery of extraordinary food and guest experiences
• Lead kitchen team and maintain an efficient work environment
• Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
• Control inventory and assist in supply ordering
Requirements:
• 2-3 years culinary experience required
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Food Safety and WHMIS certification necessary
