Position: IT Database Specialist

 Department: Information Technology

Job Summary: Maintenance, configuration and implementation of the databases. This includes, backup, storage, access and partitioning of databases. Ensures efficient installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of database systems. Monitor and optimize current database systems to ensure quality system performance, by utilizing index tuning, disk optimization, and various other methods that are appropriate. Confirms permissions and privileges within the system to define who can access and control what information ensuring safety and security of the databases to maintain the confidentiality of data.
