Job Summary

Under the direction of the program director, or clinic supervisor, performs interpreting and translating services of oral and/or written communications between a source and a target language (or languages) in a medical setting.


Core Job Responsibilities


+ Provide interpreting / translating services for patients, employees, and patient decision makers.

+ Interpret or translate all documents presented by or to patients, staff, and other individuals.

+ Review translated material for accuracy of meaning, grammar and syntax.

+ Answer inquiries from patients, community agencies, and individuals and interpret and explain words and phrases.
