General Description:
Under the direction of the Director of Instructional Design and Development, this position provides instructional design expertise for NOVA Online (NOL), NOVA’s distance learning program. The Instructional Designer serves as part of the instructional design team, focusing on assisting faculty in the design of online courses and instructional practices, creation of online learning resources, and piloting/implementing new technologies for teaching and learning. The Instructional Designer works with faculty to design and develop quality online courses based on sound adult learning pedagogy and instructional design practice, and supports faculty in ongoing course development, evaluation, and revision processes.
