POSITION SUMMARY

The Hospital Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for the proper overall functioning of all departments at Mountains Community Hospital after weekday hours when department managers are off work and on weekends. A Hospital Supervisor assigned during regular weekday hours supports the operations of all departments in cooperation with the Department Managers. *During these weekday hours, the Department Managers have ultimate responsibility for their departments.* Authority to perform duties is delegated from Department Managers and Senior Management, and congruent with the State of California Nursing Practice Act. Utilizes independent judgement to manage and supervise nursing, hospital and District operations on assigned shift.
