The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Family and Community Medicine invites applications for doctorallevel research faculty (MD, PhD, DrPH) whose research programs are directly related to primary care, including but not limited to health services research, outcomes research, behavioral health, health disparities, chronic disease management, digital health, or primarycarebased behavioral and preventive interventions. Candidates with demonstrated experience and funding in one of these areas: pragmatic trial design and analyses, realworld evidence (RWE) methods, and/or quasiexperimental causal inference approaches, machine learning (ML) or artificial intelligence (AI) applied to healthcare, population health, or primary care innovation are highly desired. Experience working with claims and administrative datasets (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial claims) is highly preferred.
