Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary

The heavy equipment mechanic will inspect, maintain, and repair specialized utility construction equipment, including tensioners, pullers, cranes, and hydraulic systems. This role supports both shop operations and field crews, ensuring that all equipment is safe, operational, and ready for deployment on high-voltage transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventive maintenance and major repairs on utility line construction equipment, vehicles, and hydraulic systems.

· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in the shop and in the field.

· Support line crews during wire pulls, structure setting, and other field operations by operating and maintaining specialized equipment.

· Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and parts inventories.
