The Head of Category for Medical and Surgical will act as a strategic commercial partner to the operational divisions, directing a customer‑focused team to deliver compliant, cost‑effective contracts that maximise value for stakeholders.

This role is one of five Head of Category roles, responsible for the leadership and management of the Medical and Surgical category team within the Procurement and Supply Chain function Department. .

Each category team provides a focused and dedicated team for the Clinical and Corporate Directorates. Category teams will be expected to work together to provide support to operational divisions and may support procurements for other Divisions where it is more appropriate in relation to category knowledge.
