GP with Extended Role

Responsible for providing medical advice, assessment and other urgent medical services in the primary care walk‑in centre at Hawick Community Hospital and also at Borders General Hospital or other community settings.

You will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team of professional and administrative colleagues to provide a range of unscheduled care services to the public within Borders.

Fixed‑term posts until 31 March 2027; flexible hours; the NHS Scotland salary scale applies: £77,160–£115,167 pro‑rata to a 40‑hour week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely medical advice, assessment and urgent care services within the walk‑in centre and associated sites.
