New Directions are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work within a Welsh Medium Secondary School in the Caerphilly area. As this role is in a Welsh Language School the ability to speak Welsh is essential.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and people management skills as there will be a degree of behaviour management involved.

Candidates would be responsible for:

  • Undertaking whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher;
  • Applying the school’s behaviour management policy and report any difficulties to the class teacher;
  • Setting homework previously prepared by the teacher;
  • Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, or to carry out other administrative tasks as required.
