Picture your day on the floor: you review a print, lay out steel with precision, set your MIG parameters, and run clean, consistent beads in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. You verify fit-up, check tolerances with micrometers and calipers, and record your results so the next operator knows exactly where things stand. • Lay out, position, and secure components to spec using jigs/fixtures, then tack and complete welds with GMAW and other processes as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow defined weld symbols, sequences, and assembly requirements.
• Dial in equipment settings (voltage, amperage, wire speed, shielding gas) to achieve the required arc characteristics and penetration.
