Position Overview
Summary
This position provides appropriate pre-, intra- and post-procedure care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Assists the physician while performing endoscopic procedures, including obtaining tissue biopsies. Maintains endoscopes and all accessories in working order and provides preventive maintenance.This position works under the supervision of the director or designee and is employed by Mosaic Health System. Assumes responsibility for setting up and passing instruments, labeling medications, holding scopes/biopsies/loops and other needed items, assisting the surgeon/physician, and assists with circulating duties as necessary. Applies and maintains principles of asepsis and infection control skillfully. Assists in preparing the procedure room for procedure, obtaining needed equipment and supplies.
