Main Responsibilities

As the successful Operative, you will report to the Site Supervisor / Foreperson and play a key role in delivering high-quality surfacing works. You will support day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for (not exhaustive):

  • Supporting asphalt / tarmac laying operations on site
  • Assisting with groundworks and pavement preparation, including excavation and reinstatement
  • Operating a variety of plant and equipment (where trained), such as rollers, pavers, and small tools
  • Carrying out manual handling tasks associated with surfacing works
  • Ensuring materials are prepared and applied in line with specification and quality stand...
