The 11–18 (Secondary) QTS Programme – Business Studies at Bromley Schools’ Collegiate

The programme prepares graduates to teach Business Studies in secondary schools and sixth‑form settings. It combines structured training with two contrasting school placements, supporting trainees to develop effective teaching practice and strong subject pedagogy.

You will be supported to plan and deliver engaging lessons, develop students’ understanding of business concepts, economics, and enterprise, and help learners build analytical, evaluative, and decision‑making skills.

Course structure

The programme is delivered full time from September to July and includes two placements in contrasting secondary schools. The first placement runs from September to December, followed by a second placement from January to July. Throughout the programme, trainees receive ongoing mentor support and take part in professional training sessions.
