As a Functional Modeling, Simulation, and Control Engineer with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will apply and develop expertise to design electric propulsion systems for battery‑powered aircraft that enable the world to sustainably get from pointA to pointB. You will work with a diverse team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization.
The Functional Modeling, Simulation, and Control Engineer is responsible for creating system and equipment functional models and running simulations for Electric Engine development. This includes dynamic performance and stability analysis, virtual integration with the propulsion system, failure propagation and safety analysis, and model‑based software and firmware development. The Engineer also defines control strategies and laws for the Electric Engine motor control.
