Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Forensic Nurse Examiners to join our Emergency Medicine Department team.

Under the supervision of the Emergency Medicine Department (EMD) staff physician on duty, this role provides direct care to patients 13 years of age or older who indicate sexual assault has occurred within the past 240 hours or that intimate partner violence has occurred within the past 120 hours. In addition, this role conducts forensic suspect exams with a court order/search warrant in collaboration with law enforcement. Direct care includes documentation of the assault history and physical exam findings, forensic kit collection, as well as assessment of follow-up needs and community resource referrals. Testimony in a court of law regarding exam findings for victims and suspects is occasionally required.
