Summary This position is located in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, under the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cuba, Central America, and Migration Affairs, Office of Migration Affairs (WHA/MA). The position serves as a Foreign Affairs Officer and Senior Liaison Officer that facilitates effective coordination between the State Department and Department of Homeland Security component agencies to plan and carry out U.S. migration policy objectives. Responsibilities Advise and coordinates with senior leadership in State and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding the development and implementation of U.S. migration policies and programs, including bilateral and multilateral migration-related arrangements Analyzes and evaluates migration-related proposals and their short- and long-term impact on U.S. national security objectives and bilateral relations in the Western Hemisphere.
