:Parsons has a position for a Fire Protection Engineer to join the Fire Protection Engineering Division of the Federal Business Unit in support of various Government Agency projects. Parsons Federal provides a broad array of engineering design services to its clients for Fire and Life Safety Engineering and Fire Protection System Design.
Specific Responsibilities:
Technical skills will include, but not limited to, automatic suppression system design and analysis; fire detection, alarm, and mass notification system design and analysis; fire and life safety code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant rated construction analysis; smoke control design; site surveys and inspections; as well as general fire protection and life safety analysis and concepts.
Interpret and apply applicable NFPA Standards, (IBC), and other applicable codes and standards (Government Standards – , etc.).
