I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for assisting patients with all financial aspects of patient care at the Queen’s Cancer Center.
• Remains in constant communication with patient and family members, physicians, nurses, physician practice assistants, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, foundations, and other third-party payers to ensure optimal financial outcomes for the patient and the organization.
• Partners with multiple teams across the organization, i.e. billing, patient relations, revenue cycle department, to ensure the highest level of patient care and to maximize the company’s efficiency and profitability.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: initiation and coordination of pre-certification of treatments for patients with their insurance carrier; insurance and eligibility verifications and assessment of financial requirements of recommended cancer treatments; providin...
