Home to the famous Bluff oyster fishery, the Foveaux Strait offers a rugged, unforgettable experience – and we’re looking for qualified, sea‑hardy crew to join a close‑knit team based on Stewart Island. This hands‑on, physically active role works a 4‑on, 4‑off roster and supports safe operation of the vessel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver memorable journeys for guests by serving food and drinks, sharing local stories, and keeping the vessel shipshape.
• Assist with luggage, freight, line handling, and support the safe operation of the vessel.
• Maintain a professional, energetic presence throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Maritime experience and a love for the sea.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential).
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Experience on the Foveaux Strait – a plus.
• Forklift licence – an advantage.
