Overview

Applications are invited for a fixed term 12 month fellow post in Medical Retina. This is a full‑time post providing post‑CCT level training for ophthalmologists who wish to specialise in Medical Retina.

Start date: 1 August 2026 or as soon as possible.

Location: St Pauls Eye Unit, Royal Liverpool University Hospital (RLUH), part of the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT).

Responsibilities and Training

• Clinical post with two sessions per week dedicated to study, research and audit.
• Opportunities to contribute to clinical research in Medical Retina and Uveitis; join as a sub‑investigator in ongoing trials on age‑related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, uveitis and inherited retinal diseases.
• Active participation in weekly teaching, training activities and journal clubs.
• Commitment to the emergency eye service during working hours; no out‑of‑hours commitment. ...
