THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in construction and welding to deliver pre-emptive and general maintenance as well as adjustments to our boats and barges fleet. Our Welder Fabricator team works closely with our hatcheries and processing sites to provide their service.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this position involves:
Detecting faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products Reading drawings/plans, work orders and production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications Operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc Examining work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications Setting up and operating hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas...
