Position Overview
Welder/FabricatorShift: Monday - Friday 7:00am -3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld steel subassemblies to AWS B2.1/B2.1M
- Create, prove out, and document dock leveler manufacturing process with emphasis on welding
- Active member on the launch team implementing the welding, painting, and assembly processes
- Accountable for every aspect of their work
- Check measurements and dimensions of each piece that's being worked on with rulers, measuring tapes or squares
- Place each product component in its appropriate location as noted in the blueprints for proper alignment by using a hammer, pry bar, jack, wedge, or another tool
- Mark spots to cut and use tools to manipulate steel, by cutting, hammering, bending, or grinding the workpiece
