Sign-On Bonus: $15, for nurses with more than one year of RN experience
Registered Nurse: Full-Time position available, prior ICU experience highly preferred
Unit: Thoracic Surgery Unit
About UPMC Shadyside: A Magnet-designated teaching hospital with ongoing research and education
Thoracic ICU:
Team: Highly specialized and supportive nurses
Procedures: Post Op Thoracic procedures, VATs (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), Esophagectomies, Lung resections, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), Vasoactive drips
Additional Responsibilities: Receiving overflow from other ICUs during high census
Work Environment: Fast-paced unit
Required Skills: Excellent critical thinking and adaptability
