SUMMARY:
Duties & Responsibilities
An Executive Housekeeper at a luxury 5-star hotel in Plettenberg Bay is responsible for overseeing the entire housekeeping operation to ensure exceptional cleanliness, guest comfort, and presentation standards throughout the property.
Operational Management
  • Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
  • Ensure all guest rooms, suites, public areas, offices, and back-of-house areas meet 5-star standards
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms and hotel facilities
  • Ensure turn-down services and VIP room preparations are completed to standard
  • Coordinate deep cleaning schedules and preventative maintenance reporting
  • Maintain housekeeping SOPs and luxury service standards
Staff Management
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff
  • Prepare staff rosters and manage departmental scheduling
