Responsibilities - Plan and create menu items, taking into consideration food cost and availability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to high standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Create new dishes to add to the menu based on customer feedback and seasonal availability of ingredients
- Work closely with management to develop strategies for increasing restaurant profitability
