Environmental Information Services are looking for an experienced Environmental Monitoring Officer to carry out the wide range of environmental data collection activities that support Council priority programmes. 

Te āhuatunga a te tūranga | About the role

In this role you will be collecting, managing and analysing a wide range of environmental data, including groundwater/river/lake/sea levels, river flows, water quality, ecology and meteorology. You will be required to maintain our network of automated monitoring sites and to carry out physical surveys and measurements using sensitive monitoring and communications equipment. In addition, you will be expected to plan, implement and complete specialised technical projects.
