Entry Level Histotechnologist (Healthcare Entry Professional)

Job Summary:

The Department of Pathology is excited to recruit a full-time (1.0 FTE) entry-level Histotechnologist at the rank of Healthcare Entry Professional. The entry-level histotechnologist will process whole mount prostate, prostate mapping biopsies, and other types of specimens received in the Histology Subspeciality Laboratory. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

·Technical- 60%

oGross description and dissection of whole prostate specimens, prostate mapping biopsy specimens.

oCMOCO only biopsy tissue samples.

oReprocessing of FFPI tissue samples for Electron Microscopy.
