Enterprise Architect – Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect will ensure that common architecture decisions support both business and IS strategy within a specific domain focus and that all architectures delivered are compliant with AstraZeneca architecture standards, blueprints and roadmaps. The role will contribute to the development of the architecture practice and support enterprise services, including application rationalization, portfolio review and architecture framework development. The role will assess and review the work of peer Enterprise and Solution architects, creating a balance between immediate and strategic needs. As an enterprise architect, the role will contribute to strategic planning for a specific domain or service area with a 1–5 year horizon and support solution development efforts originating from portfolios, participate in and/or lead IT initiatives, domain groups, and provide active guidance for better planning and decision making.
