Job Description
Nokia is searching for an electro-mechanical systems hardware technician to work on InP-based Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) aging systems. The individual would be responsible for supporting the operation of our PIC burn-in Lab. Duties would include maintaining existing complex burn-in systems and developing, qualifying, and releasing new burn-in tools. The job is based in Sunnyvale in the Optical Modules Group (OMG).
The ideal candidate would exhibit a passion for troubleshooting both electronic and mechanical systems and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot complex electronic/firmware/software/mechanical issues in PIC burn-in systems
Work with vendors to develop, qualify, and release new burn-in systems for next-generation PICs
Ensure that preventative-maintenance procedures are followed
Interface with other departments to support problem resolution and training
