We are looking for an Engineering Cadet to join the iconic TSS Earnslaw as it sails through Queenstown. The role will provide hands‑on experience in marine engineering, support day‑to‑day vessel operations, and help you progress toward recognised maritime engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day operation of the vessel, including boilers, engines, coal handling, and auxiliary systems.
• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and annual survey work.
• Learn and apply boiler room operations and procedures.
• Help maintain the vessel’s presentation and performance to the highest standard.
• Use maintenance systems for planning and task coordination.
• Shadow experienced engineers to build technical capability and knowledge.
• Engage with customers, sharing the history and workings of the TSS Earnslaw.
