For more than 50 years, Durham Wildlife Trust has been working for and with local communities, inspiring grassroots action for nature where people live and work. Enabling people to connect with nature and realise the health and wellbeing benefits of time spent in their local greenspace is a key part of Durham Wildlife Trust Strategy 2030.

The Engagement Officer plays a key role in connecting people with nature by delivering inclusive, engaging activities that benefit both wildlife and people. The role has a strong focus on nature-based wellbeing, supporting individuals and communities to improve their physical and mental health through meaningful interaction with the natural environment.
